I built The Codex because I couldn't find what I needed anywhere else. Not in any single tradition. Not in any single system. I had to build it myself — and the reason I had to is the same reason it works.
My name is Ethan. I was born in Hong Kong to a Chinese-Vietnamese mother and a New Zealand European father. I grew up between worlds — between cultures, between ways of seeing, between ways of understanding who a person is and what their life means. That experience of not quite fitting anywhere, of always searching for a framework that could hold all of what I was, is what eventually became The Codex.
I came to this work through my heritage. Chinese astrology was the first language — the one that arrived through family, through the particular way my culture understood personality and destiny. But Chinese astrology alone didn't cover everything I was. Neither did Western astrology when I encountered it. I remembered that the Middle Eastern traditions had their own astrological systems, their own lunar maps. I began to look at what each tradition was pointing at, and I started to notice something: they were all pointing at the same person from different angles.
Every tradition I encountered was a different instrument playing the same note. The question was never which one was right. The question was how to hear the chord.
Tarot arrived next — not as fortune-telling, but as a map of archetypes, of the recurring patterns that organise a human life. Jungian psychology gave me the language to understand why those patterns matter: because they are not imposed from the outside but encoded from within. Numerology offered the mathematics beneath the name and the birth date — the specific numerical signature of a life. Vedic astrology added depth to the Western chart, the Nakshatra placing the Moon with a precision that Western tradition doesn't reach. Human Design brought the energetic architecture, the specific design of how a soul is built to move through the world.
Each system I added didn't replace what came before. It confirmed it — from a different direction, in a different language. That confirmation is what I trust. Where the traditions agree, that agreement carries the full weight of everything that built each one of them. And when they converge on a single portrait, what you are holding is something genuinely rare: a description of you that is more accurate than any single tradition could produce alone.
The nine traditionsEvery reading I produce is built on a confirmed natal chart — every planet to exact degree. The Moon moves through an entire sign every two and a half days. Without exact data, the Nakshatra is wrong, the Atmakaraka is wrong, and several key sections are approximations presented as facts. I won't do that.
If you don't have a natal chart, I generate one for you using professional-grade software and include it with your reading. The standard is non-negotiable because the work depends on it. A reading built on inaccurate data is not a reading — it's a plausible-sounding guess. That is not what The Codex offers.
I built this for the people who never quite fitted the single-tradition reading. The ones who walked away from their astrology chart feeling like something was missing. This is for the searchers.
I am also a spiritual teacher, an author, and a builder — in the literal sense. My background is construction. I know what it means to lay a foundation before you build anything on top of it. The Codex is that philosophy applied to the interior: every section is built on confirmed data, every claim is cross-referenced across at least two traditions before it appears in a reading, and nothing is presented as certain that is not.
The readings take time to produce because they are worth the time. What you receive is not a generated summary. It is a document built to be returned to — across the years, across the transitions, across the moments when you need to remember who you actually are and what you came here to do.

Welcome Home is a 22-chapter manuscript structured around the Major Arcana — one chapter per card, from The Fool through The World. It is not a book about the Tarot. It is a book that uses the twenty-two archetypes as a map of the interior journey every soul takes, in its own sequence, at its own pace. Written to be moved through, not consumed.
